Non-Invasive Treatments For Your Wedding Day

As a bride-to-be, you well know the joys and stresses of planning your special day.  As everything comes together and your special day approaches, it's time to take care of and pamper yourself.  As the bride, you deserve to captivate guests as you walk down the aisle and to be proud of your wedding photos for years to come!

At Evolution Plastic Surgery Clinic, our services are specifically tailored to your unique aesthetic needs.  All our services begin with a complimentary assessment.  Brides are encouraged to bring their mothers, bridesmaids and even fiancĂ© for consultation.

Some non-invasive procedures that a bride may want to consider are laser hair removal, laser vein therapy or a laser facial to treat diffuse redness, pores and fine wrinkles.

Other helpful treatments include Botox or dermal filler injections which can be used to enhance the lips or cheeks and help fill in deep lines and correct minor aesthetic concerns.  Older brides or mothers of the bride may be interested in Radiesse injections to add volume to the hands and improve the look of bones and prominent veins that can commonly become more prominent with age as the the hands lose fat and muscle.

Peels and facials are also a great treatment to get your skin glowing.  Consider treating your entire wedding party to peels or facials before the wedding.  We offer special group rates for such occasions.

For more information on any of these treatments, please call to book a consultation.

Five Winter Skin Care Tips

Whether your skin is oily or dry, winter weather can cause your skin to take a beating.  Read these tips for ideas on how to improve your skin this winter.

1. Use a good-quality moisturizer.
Moisturizing is especially important during the dry winter months.  Some key ingredients that you will find in a really good moisturizer can be hyaluronic acid, which is already found naturally in your skin; hydroxyproline, a lipoaminoacid whose structure is naturally present in skin; and shea butter, a vegetal butter known for nourishing and protecting skin.

Try:  Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer, Pro-Derm Stem Youth Night Cream, Pro-Derm Regenerating Cream

2.  Exfoliating is important!
A chemical peel or a facial can slough off the dead skin cells that can dull your completion and stimulate the production of new cells to make your skin look more radiant and healthy in the winter.  Many peels leave you with no downtime, peeling or side effects.  You will just walk out looking and feeling more radiant.

Try:  IS Clinical Fire and Ice Facial, or an AFA peel

3.  Apply a Hydrating Mask.
A hydrating mask that is PH balanced will help your skin stay hydrated in the cold, harsh winter months.  Try a mask that contains an anti-aging serum and contains hyaluronic acid.

Try: Stem Youth Tensor Anti-Fatigue Tissue Mask

4.  Don't Forget Your Vitamin C!
Vitamin C is a great product for any time of year but you will especially appreciate the brightening effects of a good Vitamin C serum in the winter months.  Apply it once a day before your moisturizer and makeup.  This is a great way to prevent wrinkles and stimulate collagen synthesis.

Try:  Obagi Professional-C Serum, available in 10%, 15% or 20%

5.  Keep Using Sunscreen
Sunscreen is important at any time but it is especially important in the snow when playing winter sports, or if you are taking a winter holiday.  Don't forget to apply it periodically throughout the day!

Try:  Obagi Healthy Skin Protection, Broad Spectrum SPF

How to Glow in the Dull Winter Weather

Winter is now creeping in on us and sadly, many of us feel the effects of the cold harsh weather in our skin.  Dull, sallow skin is common complaint in the cold weather and the timing could not be worse for those who want to look their best during the holiday season.

A facial or a peel are very effective in getting you glowing and looking your best fast.  At Evolution Plastic Surgery Clinic we offer two very different treatments, depending on your skin care needs.

First is the Fire and Ice Facial.  This is one treatment that the staff at the clinic all love and look forward to having!  This very appropriately named facial is designed to treat aging, acne, and hyperpigmentation.  You will feel it working with first the "Fire" portion of the treatment - a resurfacing mask that really does heat up the skin with a fiery treatment that contains a combination of antioxidants, botanical acids, retinol and niacin.  This is followed by the "Ice" treatment - a rejuvenating masque that nourishes, cools and restore's your skin's balance again using hyaluronic acid and aloe vera along with natural extracts.

The other treatment we use is the AFA Clay Peel, a two-step process that will immediately leave your skin feeling younger, softer and tighter.  The first step is an AFA masque designed that draws impurities and prepares the skin for the AFA gel peel, which comes in different strengths, determined by your skin type. This peel is an effective treatment for those with uneven pigmentation, fine lines, or sun-damaged skin.  You will see results immediately but for maximum results, six treatments 2-3 weeks apart are sometimes recommended.

So, if you are looking for a way to get your skin glowing and help you look radiant again, speak to us about one of these quick fixes for facial rejuvenation!
